Environmental Litigation Attorney

Location: Denver, CO

Our client, a plaintiff-focused litigation firm, is seeking an experienced Environmental Litigation Attorney to join its Denver office. This opportunity is ideal for a senior litigator who is passionate about representing individuals and communities impacted by environmental harm and complex civil disputes. The role offers significant responsibility, leadership in case strategy, and meaningful trial involvement on high-impact matters. This is a full-time, in-office position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of complex plaintiff-side litigation from case development through trial or resolution
• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and overseeing document production
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses
• Draft persuasive pleadings, dispositive motions, and briefing
• Work with experts to develop liability and damages theories in environmental and mass harm cases
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials across state and federal venues
• Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategy and drive favorable outcomes for clients
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing guidance and support throughout litigation
• Handle multiple high-exposure cases while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality work product

The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of experience handling complex litigation matters, with a strong background in environmental, toxic tort, or other large-scale plaintiff-side cases preferred. Experience with class actions and multidistrict litigation is highly valued, along with a proven ability to independently manage cases from initial filing through final resolution. The role requires extensive experience in depositions and motion practice, as well as strong courtroom advocacy skills and trial exposure. Candidates should possess excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral communication abilities, maintain an active bar license in good standing (Colorado or ability to waive in), and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
